Irish Spiced Beef

A traditional meal made using a corned silverside that has been cured in spices. It's easy to cook and a staple of festive meals in Ireland.

Ingredients

1.3kg spiced beef

Method

  1. Place the spiced beef in a pot of cold water and bring to boil.
  2. Reduce to a simmer and cook for 45 mins per kilo if serving warm.If serving cold, cook for 40 mins per kilo, turn off the heat and leave in the water until cooled.
  3. Remove from pot and slice to serve.
